Mediation Services

Mediation of a full case typically takes 4 to 8 hours.  Sessions typically continue uninterruped until all issues are resolved.  Lunch is provided when mediation continues through the lunch hour.  

Mediation begins at 9:30 a.m. and continue through resolution of all issues that day.
Review and signing of Settlement Agreements are scheduled for Mondays or Friday the week following mediation.

Mediation Fees

Mediation Fee - $225 per hour.  Mediation is defined as the actual mediation process, drafting of the Settlement Agreement, review and signing of the final Settlement Agreement, revisions, and updates.  Telephone consultations, preconference review of documentation, and email correspondence are billed as mediation at the mediator's discretion.  Drafting, and review and signing of the final Settlement Agreement are part of mediation, and average 2-3 hours.  The average total hours for a case is 8-10 hours.

Booking Deposit Required:  A $75 nonrefundable deposit is due from each Party ($150 total) secure the booked mediation date.  Unsecured bookings are automatically canceled after 48 hours if any portion the deposit remains unpaid.  Again, deposits are nonrefundable.  The full deposit is applied toward the total mediation cost, which is due the day of mediation.

Payment of Fees and Deposits:  Cash, check, or credit card via PayPal.  Fees and Deposits can be paid by either or both Parties.  Payment arrangements are incorporated into the Mediation Contract at mediation, and included as part of the final Settlement Agreement between the Parties.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

Rescheduling:  Deposits will be applied to one rescheduling of mediation, with 7 days notice.  New deposits must be made to secure a second postponement. 

Cancelations:  All cancelations result in forfeiture of deposits without exception.  "No shows" are billed a flat fee of $500.00 to each Party not appearing, in addition to the forfeited deposit.
