Mediation Services

Mediations arranged through this office are typically scheduled in half-day (4 hour) or full-day (8 hour) sessions.  If the matter involves a complex divorce without attorneys, Ms. Givens may suggest a series of two-hour sessions, rather than one extended session.  Half-day and full-day sessions are scheduled as:

Morning mediations -  9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 
Full-day mediations - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (include lunch ordered in).

Mediation Fees

Half-day session (4 or more hours) - $225 per hour
Under 4 hours - $250 per hour


Upon scheduling, a $75 nonrefundable deposit is due from each participant or party, payable upon scheduling.  The full deposit is applied to the total mediation cost.  The balance of the total fee is due by cash, check, or credit card (via PayPal) on the scheduled mediation date. 

Cancellation Policy

If mediation is canceled or rescheduled 4 or fewer business days before the mediation date, a $200 cancellation fee is due from the party or parties canceling or rescheduling the mediation.  If cancellation is made on the actual mediation date, the half-day fee of $800 is due.  the full mediation fee is due from both parties.  Where payment is made by either party on behalf of both, such payment arrangements can incorporated as part of the Mediated Settlement Agreement upon request. 

Special Rates

Please call or email regarding special mediation rates and session times for court-ordered mediations, where the combined net income of the parties is less than $50,000/year.
